National Championships - May 31st, 2010

Winnipeg will play host to the 2010 C5PBA Open National Championships which will take place from June 1st - 6th.

Masters Results - October 28th, 2009


The 5 pin bowling season is underway and the Master Bowlers Association of Manitoba has held their first 2 tournaments of the season.

The tournament division held their first tournament on October 4th @ St. Vital Bowl.

Kevin Slippert came out on top after the 8 game qualifying shooting 2209. In the men's stepladder, Geoff Born shoots 270 to defeat Scott Buchanan's 244 and Marc Meilleur's 242, which advanced Geoff to play top qualifier Kevin Slippert. The stepladder final saw Geoff Born defeat Kevin Slippert.

On the ladies side, top qualifier Janna Alblas with an 8 game qualifying score of 2267 waited to see who she would play in the stepladder final. Sandi Anderson rolled 265 to defeat Holly Chaikowski's 212 and Karen Armstrong's 200. In the stepladder final, Janna Alblas deafed Sandi Anderson.

On the teaching division side, they held their first tournament on October 18th @ Academy Uptown Lanes.

On the ladies side, Char Hurd rolled an impressive +222, followed by Judy Buchanan with +209 and Anne Wisniewski with +115.

On the men's side, Rod Shantz grabbed top place with +167, closely followed by and tied for 2nd was Jim Anderson and Les Wuss each with +162, followed by Bob Borden with +106.

Welcome Back Bowlers! - September 10th, 2009

Welcome back bowlers to another great season of 5 pin bowling!The Manitoba Five Pin Bowling Federation would like to congratulate Sandi Anderson on her induction into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.  Sandi will be inducted to the Hall of Fame on November 7th, 2009 at the awards dinner and ceremony.There is an upcoming Community Coach Clinic scheduled for Saturday, October 17th, 2009 in Carberry, Manitoba.  Cost of the clinic is $45.00.  The application form will be posted on the Manitoba Five Pin Bowling Federation's website.
